Blog assignment 4 "Analogous Color Palette"
Sore Models #4 by Jane Hammond in 1994. Analogous colors are colors that are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. Some examples are green, yellow green and yellow or red, red violet and violet. Analogous color schemes are often found in nature and are pleasing to the eye. The combination of these colors give a bright effect in the area, and are able to accommodate many changing moods. The images derive from exotic and fanciful sources such as magic, puppetry, knot-tying diagrams, alchemy, erotica, palmistry and phrenology, and include commonplace items such as flowers, dancers, games, children's drawings, furniture, animals and the alphabet. I think the color are adjacent to each other on the color wheel but the pics have nothing to do with why I picked it but I did put a reason why the artist put them in there. |

As the distance between an object and a viewer increases, the contrast between the object and its background decreases, and the contrast of any markings or details within the object also decreases. Known as the painter of light, because of his increasing interest in brilliant colours as the main constituent in his landscapes and seascapes. |

Blog assignment 3 "Axonometric Projection"
Café Aubette Strasbourg by Theo van Doesburg in 1931. Axonometric projection is the rendering of an object or floor plan in scale as viewed from a stated angle, Three-dimensional view that shows the height, width, and depth of an object. However, it does not change when changing the perspective. The architect's passion for abstract art finds its roots in the anti-rational Dada movement. Doesburg uses large colored shapes as decorations on the walls to draw diagonals that create dynamism and tension coming into contact with the rectangles of the structural elements such as doors and windows. |

Interface by Steve DiBenedetto in 2002. Visual overlapping in art is when artists add depth to their paintings by positioning some objects behind others. This can be done by applying a mask to closer objects before painting the distant ones. It can also be done by painting the closest objects last. DiBenedetto's drawings aren't as turbid as his paintings, but they're just as busy. He excels at more patterns, weird geometric structures and a lurid all-overness. His imagery, however, is repetitive and baffling. |

Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh 1887. Expressive lines A kind of line that seems to spring directly from the artist's emotions or feelings. Sunflowers had a special significance for Van Gogh, He made 11 paintings of them. vangoghgallery.com said Van Gogh's paintings of sunflowers have altered mankind's perspective of art and life. These paintings captivate the mind and leave you astounded in their simplistic beauty. The flowing wilted steams and the burst of lovely yellow draws ones attention around the painting, without disrupting the balance of the piece. |

Implied lines are lines that are not necessary drawn in an image, but are lines created by values, colors, textures or shapes that guide the eye though the piece of artwork. The artist essentializes the event or perhaps better , symbolizes it in his work. |

Government by Jaune Quick to see Smith in 1991. Outline is the edge of a shape or figure depicted by an actual line drawn or painted on the surface. In Smiths painting a black outline in the shape of a doll establishes her subjects for the viewer. she helps us remind us of the difference between her mental image of a doll and our own. |

In the beginning of the war looting or illegally obtained cultural artifacts happed and no one has an idea of where they went to. They also wanted to remove any remaining symbol of the old government. |

The human condition by Rene Magritte in 1945. Form means the over structure of the art work and content is what the art expresses or means. according to onesurrealistaday.com out side the front door seen from inside a room, I placed a painting representing exactly that portion of the landscape covered by the painting. Thus, the beach in the picture hid the ball behind it, outside the room. For the spectator, it was both inside the room within the painting and outside in the real landscape. Which is how we see the world, namely, outside of us; although having only one representation of it within us. Similarly we sometimes remember a past event as being in the present. Time and space lose meaning and our daily experience becomes paramount. |
