Blog assignment 2 image 2 "Representational"

Mountain brook by Albert Bierstadt in 1863. representational art portrays
recognizable forms. The more the representation resembles what the eye sees, the more
it is said to be an example of realism. The New England landscapes, particularly
of the White Mountains, as seen here praised the artist’s
deft contrast of “light and shade,” which brought a heightened realism to the image.
